Browse All TopicsMy boss has just bought and IMac from Apple. I have never used one!!!! We run Active Directory using Windows 2003 Servers. The machine connects to the Internet and can browse the LAN but cannot connect to any server / pc shares etc.
If I try to connect on the Mac and put in the user's name and password (tried the admin one as well)
it cannot authenticate.
Can anyone tell me what to do step by step???
Do I need to join the Mac into active directory?? Can i??
My bosses home directory is on the server

The best and easiest way to do this is using ADmitMac from Thursby Software. (The AD in the name stands for Active Directory.) I used a slightly earlier version of this to connect the two top execs at my old firm (who were on Macs) to an AD Domain.
