Mac Classic 9 install on Tiger

I am having an issue with Classic 9 on Tiger but I do not have the 2nd hard drive as I see other post mentioned two HDD to work for the install. Is it possible to run OS 9 and OS X tiger on the same hard drive?  Right now, I do not have anything working as I have I wiped out the entire install to start over.  However, when I tried to start up from the 9.2.2 disk, it gives only the 'Disk Face' and nothing else?  What is the right thing to do at this point?
I do have the Restore CD set for 9.22 with 10.2, and the install CD and DVD for 9.2.2, 10.2, and Tiger.  So I think I have everything.  Please advise and thanks in advance,Start Free Trial
