Ok, but OS X has a VNC client built in to the operating system. It's what Apple Remote Desktop connects to. This is somewhat distinct from the built-in screen sharing in 10.5

For 10.4 and 10.5 (10.3 might need to have the ARD client component updated), this is what you need to know:

"/Applications/OSXvnc.app/OSXvnc-server -rfbport 5900 > /dev/null 2>&1 &"


you can do it as a startup command too by:

sudo pico /Library/StartupItems/OSXvncStartUp

#!/bin/sh
# This script will start OSXvnc at startup
command to launch OSXvnc

Save it with a properly descriptive name like OSXvncStartUp in /Library/StartupItems. If you use the command I've suggested above and are using pico, you just need to hit <Control-X> <Y> <Return>

Make it executable.
sudo chmod a+x /Library/StartupItems/OSXvncStartUp

Reboot to test.

"the VNC server" on "Mac OS X" is pretty generic. I don't get OSXvnc out of that,
at this point it would be helpful to hear back from the OP

Fair enough, but more descriptive questions would be helpful.
"the VNC-Server on MAC OS X" is not OS X VNC...  not any more than TightVNC is supplied with an install of Windows - it's not.
