This can be used to do Wide Area Network Bonjour.
om/make-ti me-machine -remotely- back- up-to -your-time -capsule/
http://www.dns-sd.org/
Essentially, Bonjour allows machines to discover services on the immediate network through broadcasting. WAN Bonjour is an extension to allow available services to be registered in a domain you control, and machines to query those domains in addition to the immediate broadcast network. When you start your machine, it will register available shared services with the DNS server. This could allow you to connect to your shared services over the internet through the usual network browsing, or backup to your Time Capsule from a remote connection.
This is relatively easy using a MobileMe account

but it is relatively complicated to do if you wish to use your own DNS server.
Cheers,
