I think that I joined my Mac to my 2K8 domain, but I like to run the step by your guys to make sure.
I open the app folder on the Mac, then open Utilities and clicked on Directory Utilities.
1- joined to domain snap shot shows that the server is responding correctly. ( at the time that I took this snap shot I was not at home joined to the domain which is why you see that it say ) * this server is not responding correctly, when I log in at home it says this server is responding correctly.
2-Active Directory snap shot shows that A/D is active
3- joined to A/D Domain shows the forest, domain and computer ID that it's joined to and when I go to my 2K8 server under computers I see the computer names.
My problem is that when I try to ping the Mac I can't
or if I do an ( NSLOOKUP)
So,I'm I joined to the Domain or not?
Is this normal when you join a Mac to a windows domain?
