Thanks for the info... unfortunately Kiwi for mac is not available...windows only and the Java Log Viewer would not open the Java Console.log file (Produced an error immediately).
I will do what I was originally planning and just remove the file. I will keep an eye on it.

If you want to view the log file first, try using some like Kiwi Log Viewer

Failing that, unless its a log file for your server, like Tomcat etc that is having some serious errors, I would say you can go ahead and delete it, but on that advice id use TimeMachine or something, incase it turns out you do actually require it
