I have a Windows 2000 Server with plenty of spare Terminal Server CAL's. The network consist of almost 20 Windows based PC's and this one server. All of the PC's RDP into the terminal server so they can use a sales application. Everything works great! I now have an oddball MAC (OS-X) that a user has brought up here. I installed the MAC RDP version and it's been working great for about 2 months with no problems. Now i am having the following problems with it. First i was getting a message that said something like "your temporary terminal server licensing will expire in X days". Now when i try to connect it says "You were disconnected from the Windows-based computer because of problems during the licensing protocol".
There are a few things in the evant log. Here's they are:
Evant ID: 7
'One or more Terminal Services Licensing certificates on server W2K8137 are corrupt. Terminal Services Licensing will only issue temporary licenses until the server is reactivated. See Terminal Services Licensing help topic for more information.'
Event ID: 21
'The terminal services licensing server W2K8137 has no permanent licenses for product 'Windows 2000 Terminal Services Client Access License'. Use Terminal Services Licensing administrative tool to register more licenses. '
Evant ID: 1004
'The terminal server cannot issue a client license.'
