Adding back button to view

I have a simple iPhone app that has 2 views.  When you click on a button on the first one, it calls addSubview to push the 2nd view.  How do I add a back button to the 2nd view?  I've tried adding a title first and 2nd views, but neitherone displays a back button.

(Also the title is hidden underneath a status line in the simulator that says "carrier and time".)  Can I make that go away?

To my knowledge, this is best achieved via Apple Remote Desktop http://www.apple.com/remotedesktop/remoteadministration.html

There is a method for using the terminal and connective via SSH to the workstation but I have not seen any documentation newer than OS X 10.3

Have you tried using ViewControllers with Navigation Controllers ?
This may be the easiest way to achieve mutl-views navigation

The back button is added with use of the Navigation controller.  I found some code to enable me to do that.
