Still no joy.
If i do countV = 10 it works though... so;
int countV = (int)[counterValue titleForState:UIControlSta
is obviously not working... is there a better way to convert a string to an int?

Browse All TopicsI'm just starting to learn cocoa / xcode etc and have read some books and trying to get stuck in!
I've simply dropped a button on a blank canvas and changed the caption to 0. I've added a class and connected up as needed.
I've then popped in the attached code (It was a lot simpler but i had to add stuff as i was initially getting errors about casting pointers as integers and vice versa).
When i simulate each time i click the button the caption changes to a seemingly random number;
61923153
58825697
etc
I expect i've messed up in the converting/casting. Please help!
Thanks

instead of doing countV++ did you try countV = countV + 1?
