help: powerpoint presentation says it is corrupted

i just finished my powerpoint presentation but when I went to re-opened it keeps giving me the message that the file is corrupted, in use, or not recognized by powerpoint. I have a Mac that I just bought about 1 ago, so I have no idea what just happened. PLS HELP
