when i am using Mac os, and browse the Vista partition to my desktop folder and try to transfer a file, it tells me i dont have write permissions. I am not prompted for authentication.

Browse All TopicsMac os x leopard need to transfer files to the Vista bootcamp partition but i only have read access. I created a folder on the Vista desktop that i want to be able to move files to. I think i had this working before on another machine, but forget how i did it, or maybe i am just confusing myself with parallels.

There are many softwares available which can be used to write into ntfs on a mac.

Are the account names and passwords exactly the same on both machines? They will need to be else you can just type in the Vista username and password on the Mac and this will work.
