I came across this at the Oracle website:
Yes. 32-bit Windows XP Professional Edition is supported by Oracle9i and Oracle9i Release 2 Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Personal Edition, and Client. 64-bit Windows XP will be supported by 64-bit Oracle9i Release 2. Oracle8i Release 3 Client provides limited support for Windows XP.
