How did you convert it? using ODBC, tabbed ascci files?
If ascii file, repeating field data are separated by ascii 29 character, so you should end up with values in a single field, and ascii 29 in between each former subfield.
using ODBC, though I did not test, I think it will write only one subfield at a time, and the 1st one if the subfield number is left blank.
If you are not happy with this, I can only suggest to convert ascii 29 to something else like '|' at the text file state to provide an easier field reformat in access, or convert it to something les ein filemaker, but that depends on how complex is yr problem, and how you'd like to get it in access: merged together in a single field, move it to an separate table, etc...
