This article should address your problem
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885523

Upon booting up if you press f8 you should be able to select to disable automatic restart on system failure which will give you the ability to view the exact blue screen error message

I have tryed this and all the boot funtions wont work, reboots again. I can get to the dos prompt with the windows xp disc, and I have tryed to replace the winsrv.dll file, but the filename is not the samt. On the disc it´s winsrv.dl_ and one the harddrive it´s winsrv.dll?

It is compressed on the CD You have to expand the file
so it would like this where d: is your cd-rom drive.

at the dos prompt
EXPAND d:\i386\winsrv.dl_ c:\windows\system32

@torbenbisgaard:

if you have tried the steps on teh Doc Brian has pointed you to.. to disable automatic reboot.. you should have seen the STOP error code..

what is the STOP error ? this would help us narrow down a lot quicker

you can also run a ram test to be sure about the basics; use memtest86+ from :   www.memtest.org
or run a chkdsk on the disk from recovery console :  http://support.microsoft.com/KB/314058

by: torbenbisgaardPosted on 2008-04-08 at 07:29:32ID: 21305590

It will not stop with disable with automatic restart, it´s rebooting again and again. I copied the winsrv.dll like you wrote to me, but I still get the error and blue screen
