Unable to establish a secure connection to server

One of our Mac users just got a popup today when trying to get his mail:

Unbale to establish a secure connection to server1.church.local because the correct root certificate is not installed.

If you continue, the information you view and send will not be secure.

cancel/ok are the options


We are runing Windows Server 2003 Small Business.

What caused the error and what can I do to fix it?

Probably wrong security settings.

You need to find out (from admin or mail settings) which you use (TLS, SSL, Secure Authentication) and apply as appropiate.
