Yes. Macs can open and view BMP files.

Are you using it in an email or Word Document?

I'd recommend using JPG files instead as they are smaller and better suited to HTML formatted emails etc.

If I make the .bmp very small that will work?

A pall with a mac said he couldnt open a pic I sent to him before - so Im thinking .bmp.

Ooops - will .bmp open in netscape - firefox - I remember Netscape having issues years ago!

dooh ......

Jpeg better me thinks.

In general, I'd avoid using any proprietary image formats.

I use PNG for images with flat areas of colour and JPG for photos and gradients. Each is better suited to a different type of compression.
