Can't remove Album Art in iTunes

I have a number of songs in my iTunes library with no Album Art.  So I found some of the art, and started using the Now Playing panel in the bottom left to add missing Album Art.  I play the relevant song, then the Now Playing box invites me to drag and drop Album Art.  When I get it right - great.  But I have a couple of instances where I've dropped the wrong Album Art and now I can't get rid of it!
I have attemped to delete, but there's no menu option and the DEL key does nothing.  I've tried to put the right Album Art over the top of it, but I just end up with two bits of art associated with the track - one right and still the original wrong one - and because the wrong one was first, that's the one that is displayed by default.
So the question is, how can I remove album art from a track?

As a subsidiary question, is it possible to assign art to multiple tracks (e.g. I rip a CD and each track is listed separately and I have to drag the art onto each track one by one...)Start Free Trial
