Software to Boost Mac Audio Output
Are there any apps out there that I can use to digitally increase the gain on my Mac's audio output? I have it plugged in to an external receiver via the headphone jack and the amplitude is not sufficient even at full volume.

I assume you've looked at the line out settings in System Preferences? Other than that, you might try playing with some of the free utils from RogueAmoeba: http://www.rogueamoeba.com
