I raised this question previously but closed it as it seemed to have stopped occuring. Alas the problem is back with a vengence! This is the previous question:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Apple/Software/Q_23579034.html#a22042553The basic problem is that after the machine has been running for a while (and I have iTunes starting at logon) a message box pops up (repeatedly until either I reboot, or I click the checkbox "do not warn me again") - the message box says "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available."
This problem occurs whether I use iTunes or not. E.g. today the laptop has been running a couple of hours since it was rebooted, with iTunes running in the background - but never asked to do anything - and now the memory message box has popped up. I "OK" it and it repears after a few minutes. Once the box appears, iTunes refuses to do anything (it won't restore from being minimised to the system tray - a task bar entry for it appears for a few seconds but then disappears again). My laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium, and has 2GB or memory. Right now when iTunes is reporting insuffient memory, I have 819MB memory free.
I'm running the latest version of iTunes (set to auto-download the latest version of Apple software as it is released by Apple).
Any suggestions?
