Using IE on a Mac

Hi - in our office we use PCs with IE7 installed to access Microsoft CRM. My boss has an Apple Macintosh computer at home running the latest OS X. When he uses Safari or Firefox to access the CRM system remotely he can successfully login but then is unable to use CRM because it says it requires IE in order to work. I have been searching for a current version on IE on a Mac but they all seem really old (v5) - does a more recent one exist??
