Remembering I have Aperture 2, I found this on the web:
"...The latest version of Aperture includes a new option that allows you to directly create a MobileMe Gallery and automatically upload it online to a pre-configured .Mac (or @me.com) account..."
"In Settings, I can quickly input all the necessary information about the gallery I want to create,..."
Could this be a method to create additional MobileMe galleries? I have read on the web of problems with this method, though from last year.

If you create Albums in iPhoto .. each one you publish will have its own web folder in MobileMe under the Galleries setting and you can administer the galleries from within the MobileMe interface.

iPhoto is designed ONLY to publish photos to the MobileMe default gallery.
If you want to create a second gallery you will have to do it manually ..
there is an option when publishing to HIDE the photo album .. i.e. not show it on the Gallery page .. in this way you can link directly to it using the URL http://gallery.mac.com/jam
The other option is to start using iWeb to produce Photo Galleries on your Mobile Me account.
