Browse All TopicsHi all,
I have been searching all morning for a solution for my problem and i am quite frankly bored of reading useless posts.
So here is my problem and maybe somone can get some points for taking my stress away.
I use Windows XP at work and i have a mac keyboard. I have this keyboard because i simply love it!
2 common keys that i use are insert and print screen, and since owning my mac keyboard i have found these keys are not working.
Firstly, i want to point out that i know there is a on screen keyboard that will get around my problem but i dont like this method and would rather map these keys to their correct/ logical keys.
Can you help?
i have downloaded a free app called Keytweak which seemed to sell itself as the solution but i cannot get the key to work even though it claims the F13 key is mapped to Print Screen. which by the ay is the key i want mapped to print screen....
Hpefully i can get a quick answer as this is doing my head in and interupting my work load.
Thanks

Ok as normal i got tired of waiting and ended up fixing my own problem.
To enable the print screen button on a mac keyboard, and for that matter to bind any key you want to what ever key you want. Download the following app:
Key Tweak, their web site is: http://webpages.charter.ne
Ok, with this app installed you can launch it and click on the "Half launch Mode" located at the bottom of the application when opened, Click scan a single key, this puts the application in a kind of listen mode, now hit the the key you want to map, in my case F13. Then click the drop down list and choose the key you wish your new key to represent, again in my case Print Screen.
You then click apply where you will be prompted to reboot for the registry change to take effect.
Wola!
I now have a fully functioning Mac Keyboard on a windows xp machine. And for thise of you who havent used one of the new mac keyboards, Its great and they really dont cost much either.
see it here for £29.99

Hi,
I use another (free) program to remap my keyboard:
http://www.randyrants.com/
In my case F13 is now INSERT and F14 is PrtScr.
1) Start the program
2) Add a new mapping via " Add"
3) Save via "Write to Registry"
4) Reboot
5) Done!
Hope this helps a bit.
