copy files from iphoto 09 album to networked pc folder

Selecting all (46) photos within iPhoto 09 album and dragging to finder window for PC Media (F:)  returns "Finder cannot complete the operation because Some Data in 'Four_Generations-1.jpg' ca'nt be read or written (Error code - 36)"

However, the file is actually copied; *but* the remaining 45 files that are copied as 0 byte ,jpg files.

How do I copy all 45 files from iPhoto album to PC folder (for rework in Photoshop Elements 7)? Searching Finder...Pictures is no help - apparently iPhoto has its own obscure method of cataloging.

Try using Export from iPhoto instead. (Export is under the File menu)

As above is best option - export as non lossy format.. .TIF?

If you want the originals then click once on iphoto library in your pictures folder, command + i, click show package contents and then look for the originals folder...

Apparently problem is not with iPhoto - Exported image to desktop & dragged to PC F: folder - same error, but image is copied. one at a time works??

Did you try exporting directly to the F: drive?

Is the F: drive a USB memory stick?

Or is it a mounted PC share?

if a USB stick, have you tried copying the data off and reformating?  What format is it currently?

F:Media  is a second hard drive in networked (Ethernet) PC.

Network drives (F:)  are not listed in iPhoto 09 Export...Export Photos...Export Photos...where

Finder...Go Network...Neutrino returns F:

how are you connecting to the PC share?  I presume over SMB?

are you logging in as a local admin user on the windows PC?

Try Go.. Connect to Server.. and then use::

smb://server IP address/sharename  log on as a local user on the windows machine and see if this give yo any further options...

which version of OS X are you running on the macintosh?  If its 10.4.x. or 10.5.x then try dragging the folder (once the finder window is open on the windows share) into the side bar - try to access this from iPhoto.

I have elected to abandon this approach and work with files on the PC side via CD copy (Photoshop Elements 8). iPhoto is OK for creating slide shows from 'finished product', but adding titles (my original goal) method is not good. Thanks to all.
