Final Cut Pro 3 and OS 10.6

I am trying to install Final Cut Pro 3 on OS 10.6. It seems to install, but when I go to run it, I get an error window with a bunch of text. Can anyone explain?

You might need to upgrade the OS to 10.6.1 if you have not already..

..i'll do some more digging.

BTW, I presume you mean FC Studio 3?  and not an old old version of FCP?

what is the preferred final cut studio or adobe Master suite cs4

I think you will have problems with FCP 3 and 10.6 - I don't know anyone who is running that combination. I think the lowest I have is FCS/FCP 6.

As far as video editing and compositing - as well as audio mixing FCS had my vote and a lot of semi-pro/pro backing too.

Final Cut 3 is like nearly 8 years old!!! That was like OS X 10.1.  I think it is time you get FCP 7.
