Yes there is a CD in the drive. I will check to see if hardware visualization is on when I get back to the office on Monday.

I am trying to install the VirtualPC additions so I can share files with the host OS (XP.) I have clicked the Use physical drive button and I have put the CD-Rom on the primary IDE controller also. After I chose to install VirtualPC additions, the CD options include release VMAdditions.iso so VirtualPC is doing its job but Win95 cant see the CD-Rom. How can I get Win95 to see the CD-Rom drive?

Your question says "... I have installed Windows 95 on VirtualPC 2007 ..." => but your last post indicates Virtual PC 2004. If it's actually 2004, I'd uninstall Virtual PC and install the latest Virtual PC 2007 with the service pack [http://www.microsoft.com/
HOWEVER ... be sure to keep the virtual machine additions from 2004 => you'll need to install that version in 2007 for Windows 95.
If you're running 2004, that explains why you don't see a hardware virtualization option => it doesn't have support for VT. With 2007, you can enable/disable hardware virtualization support in the Settings for each virtual machine ... as I noted earlier, you want this disabled for Windows 95.

Is there a CD in the drive? Virtual PC doesn't show a physical drive as available for assignment unless the drive contains a disc.
... In addition, Windows 95 will not run correctly in a virtual machine unless you disable hardware virtualation support for that VM => did you do that?
