Well, after googling around for a solution all weekend, and not receiving any more responses to my question, I think you're right. There doesn't appear to be any current virtual machine technology I can use on my home computer that will support Aero, and the emulated graphics adaptor in Virtual Pc 2007 is too weak to support even most of the features of the Windows Media Center, so I will probably back up my partition containing various virtual machines, wipe it out, and then try reinstalling Windows 7 on that partition as a dual boot OS along with my Windows Vista. I just hope that Windows 7 supports operation on a logical drive within an extended partition...

A virtual pc (it does not matter if it is from Microsoft, VMWare, Sun, etc) uses generic hardware. You will not find a virtualization software like this that will be able to do all the advanced graphics that Windows 7 and Vista have.
You may want to consider dual-booting Vista and Windows 7. This will allow Windows 7 to fully take advantage of the hardware and allow you to enjoy all the graphical features. This guide will help you do this:

Good luck.
