Folder References - How to set for previous documents?

OK Search simply is not working so I can't tell if this has been asked previously.

Notes R5 introduced the Folder References field to solve the old problem of "What folder is this document filed in?"

I've got a script which utilizes this feature and if it finds that Folder References have never been enabled, it turns it on.

The script works just fine, for all new documents, or old documents that you re-file in a new folder.

Q: How do I go back and get this field established for all the prior documents in my mail DB? Sure over time, things will get better and better, but it would sure be nice if all documents would work.

I've found references to some kind of command:
  load conver -m <filename>
but I've no idea how/where/etc. this would be used.

I'm not an Admin. just an standard email user.
