asked on

a link to send recipient my file

I'm sending a Lotus Note to a large group of recipients. I want to include a link/hotspot/button that will automatically send that particular recipient a file (via email).

In other words, if a recipient clicks my link I want Lotus Notes to notify me and send that recipient another email with a predefined attachment.

How do I compose an agent/etc. to do that?

Thank you, qwaletee. I just tried the first method you described, but the file I'm attaching to the document is 45MB and so it's taking forever. Guess I need to create the web agent...

I've never used Lotus Script before, but have created agents. The only DB I have access rights to is my Mail DB. First, how do I upload my file to my Mail DB on my Email server? Second, is this the proper way to describe its location: http://domino-server/folder/databse.nsf/myfolder/myfile.txt? Finally, where exactly do I enter your script? I realize I need to create the agent on my Email server (not local Mail DB) don't know where to enter Lotus Script.

Thank you,

Darn it, I don't have Designer installed. I wonder if that's something I can change in Add/Remove Programs. Hmm...I doubt it. Probably costs more money so they didn't install it on my machine. Looks like we can't solve my problem. *sigh*
