Mailto from web - Any takers?

Dear Experts,
Afer a long gap, I am posting a question.
here is the scenario.

This is from Web.

Scenario:
When a usere clicks on Email this page, this should compose the default mail program set in Internet options.
90% of the time, it will be Notes, else Outlook.

Problem:
When clicked, it composes Notes memo with Subject and Body.
If Body has the URl with ? or &, it is not taking and placing it in Subject field.
This is working fine in Outlook.

URL example which should be updated in Body of a Notes memo:
http://hostname/IGIR6_2/Madheeswar/learningnew/learning.nsf/($All)/896906F27162105B85257015006C17D7?OpenDocument&Restricttocategory=5Faculty%20Corner&expandlevel=5_2&highlight=5_2_1&expandstate=block

I need URL and cannot skip. And I won't think I am hitting the max limit for a URL leangth(250chars).

As I said before in the example,
http://hostname/IGIR6_2/Madheeswar/learningnew/learning.nsf/($All)/896906F27162105B85257015006C17D7?OpenDocument&Restricttocategory=5Faculty%20Corner&expandlevel=5_2&highlight=5_2_1&expandstate=block

If I remove '?' and '&' from the URL, it is taking the entire URl without any problem. So, I want to know how to tweak those 2 special characters and update the boby.

Any ideas?

The first link above says:
"I had a requirement to do this and eventually found out that it is not supported (at least all the way to R6.5.3)."

I can't remember who said this (Qwaletee??), but the mailto towards Notes isn't completely supported. AFAICT, it is NOT handled as an URL but done directly from the browser to the default mail program. Notes limitation??

I tested with different aspects and concluded it is the limitation of Notes. Just re-checking with Experts.

But, if u or other experts, have any other idea or any other workaround, let me know.

It might be possible to use COM, but how??? It would be a dedicated Notes-solution, and that's not what you want. Let's wait for the others.

I tried with them. But of no use. It takes the URL to Subject field.

if I remove ? and &, it works.

Any other ideas?

This is limitation of Notes.... Store the URL in a txt field and in WQS, use the field value to Append to Body field in the Memo form.
