Automatically resize jpgs in rich text fields
Hello,
I need a formula or script that will automatically resize an image when it is pasted into a rich text field.
Is this possible? and also is it possible to enable only images in rich text, i.e no attachments or text etc.
Thanks,

I am afraid that I am not smart enough for the first part, but in the second, if you are using version 6, you can make the variable a rich text lite type. Then you can specify what can be placed. You make the specifications on the control tab of the field properties.
Here you'll find an excellent example of an agent that can resize, rotate, and otherwise manipulate JPEG image files (making use of LS2J):

Hope this'll help you,

Is Java the only way this can be done?
Perhaps a formula could be used to restrict the size of a record?
Basically I don't want people to put 3.5MB Photos into the database. I want them all to be 300 pixels in width by their proportional height
