Outside e-mail restriction

Is there a way to restrict outside e-mail traffic for certain users with exchange?  The boss only wants certain employees using the e-mail externally, but wants everyone to be able to use e-mail internally.  Not sure if this is possible.  Thanks in advance

Easy enough.
Ouside users get SMTP access, and internet ID such as
craryg@company.com
Do not use same format for internal users (no ampersand)
Use Exchange for mail format and,
permit users to utilize complete name for intranet
(or require it to be identical to LAN ID)

The properties for users who can do both intranet and internet should also list (be configured for) the internet SMTP ("@") addresses (and X400 ("o"), X500 ("ou") as applicable)

Thanks, I will give it a try, but seems very logical!
Can you make this happen on Exchange 2000 server as well?  Because I tried to "remove" the smtp email address, but it won't let me.

You won't be able to remove the primary SMTP address from a recipient in Exchange 2000. What I would suggest in E2K is to setup an SMTP connector with the * address space and then set it to reject messages from anyone you don't want to be able to send to the Internet.
