With the Yahoo $20 yearly fees you not only get POP3 and forwarding. You have a bigger mailbox and able to receive bigger size email (up to 10MB)
I am working on an email client which can fetch both Yahoo as well as Hotmail emails. Will keep you posted.
Yahoo Pops, as mentioned above, already does it.
oh thanks .
i do not know it till i had read this topic.
I am using Yahoo Pops! and it works quite well.  I also have NetZero mail and see that as of June 1st, they are discontinuing their POP access.  Does this program (or others) make accessing NetZero mail with Outlook Express possible after June 1?  Thanks!
I don't know about NetZero.  You might want to drop a line to the support site for Yahoo Pops! and see what they have to say.  I doubt this version will do NetZero but there may be something out there that will.

I use yahoo mail and dont pay for pop forwarding,  Incredimail sets up the POP retrieval no problem.  There is am option in Yahoo mail to enable POP retrieval and I have never been charged a penny?  I think yahoopops is an old piece of software that is no longer needed and dont understand why this solution is still listed here.

Shouldnt this be removed or am I missing something?

Outlook Express (IE 5)
Outlook Express allows you to add a new email account to your existing profile. This means you do not have to replace your current settings in order to send and receive Yahoo! Mail messages. Here's how:

   1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
   2. Select the "Mail" tab.
   3. Click the "Add" button.
   4. From the Add menu, click "Mail."
   5. In the text box labeled Display Name, type your name and click "Next."
   6. In the Email Address box, type your Yahoo! Mail address (be sure to include "@yahoo.ca") and click "Next."
   7. Select "POP3" to answer the question "My incoming mail server is a…."
   8. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server box, type "pop.mail.yahoo.com"
   9. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type "smtp.mail.yahoo.com"
  10. Click "Next."
  11. In the Account Name box, type your Yahoo! Mail address (without the "@yahoo.ca").
  12. In the Password box, type your Yahoo! Mail Password.
  13. If you want Outlook Express to remember your password, check the "Remember password" box.
  14. Do not check the "Log on using secure password" box.
  15. Click "Next."
  16. Click "Finish."

To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail Server:

   1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
   2. Select the "Mail" tab.
   3. Double-click the account labeled "pop.mail.yahoo.com"
   4. Select the "Advanced" tab.
   5. In the Delivery section at the bottom of the window, check "Leave a copy of messages on server" if you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on the Yahoo! Mail server as well as on your local computer. Do not check this box if you want your messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! Mail server once you have received them in Outlook Express.
