What do you mean? The browser "downloads" the picture to your browsers temp. chache. They can right click and "save as".
Do you mean you what the user to be promted for a file to save the picture to? You can make a .pdf or .zip or word (.doc) file with the picture in it then the user will be prompted to sellect a drive. Do you just not want a right click and then "save as"?
If you use Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader or make the picture a .zip as alan said, just put the file in you web directory and link to it.

I think that is what dhof is saying. Wants the user to not have to right click and save, but be prompted to save to disk. Hence my zip suggestion.

I refered to your suggestion, allan.
I know. Sometimes I think it is just best to repeat what you have said. That way, everyone involved is clear on what you said including the person who asked the question, who can sometimes still be hazy on why something is being suggested, and if it is a good comment that is good, if not, then the question asker can ignore it twice. It's just habit I guess.

If you have a picture, lets say in a images folder, called picture1. Simple make a link to as so:
http://yourdomain.com/images/picture1.jpg
The only thing that will come up in the browser is the picture.
Is that what you want?
