Changing location of .PST file

How would I go about changing the default location of Outlook's 97 .pst file? Can this be done? This applies to a non-networked PC. Can the file be moved to the "My Documents" folder, for easy backup? If so, I'd appreciate guidance. [Outlook 97 v 8.04.5619]

Let me restate the question. Is there a way to change the default file location to somewhere other than C:\Windows\outlook.pst ? I am not networked!!! :) I know how to back up the .pst file in the Windows directory! I want to change the default path to somewhere other than the Windows directory. Can that be done? Sorry slink9, the links you provided do not explain this. -Erik-
Let's use a little logic here.  The second article has a section headed Identifying Your PSTs Name And Location.  As far as I can tell, this gives a solution to your question.
You're absolutely correct; that's what the section is all about. My initial question was, "How would I go about changing the default location of Outlook's 97 .pst file?" My followup question was, "Is there a way to change the default file location to somewhere other than
C:\Windows\outlook.pst ? What am I missing here? I know where the file is; the question is, can I move it and how? -Erik-

:) Thanks for sticking with me! Your clarification makes sense to me. So much for me being anal-retentive (is that spelled with a hyphen?). Thanks -Erik-
