How to tell where an email really comes from?

I am using Outlook Express.  I am getting emails from someone with @hotmail.com as the domain of the email address.   I suspect that this is from another individual who is using a fictitious name.

I then selected "view all headers" in Microsoft Outlook Express, but I saw nothing different in viewing the email...that is, no headers are showing.  Is there any way, short of the name given by the sender (which he/she picks) that I can get a better idea where this email is coming from?

Mitch is correct; highlight the email in question while it's in your In Box, right click, and select Properties.

But don't expect Hotmail to be terribly cooperative about helping you find out who actually sent you that spam...*wink*

That's what I was looking for.   Points awarded.   One additional question...is there somewhere (website or other online documentation) which documents how to interpret all those codes in the full headers?
