Messages received as .txt files / Outlook 2000 on Win2k SP3 & Office SP3
I have a user who has started receiving .txt files attachments with her messages. The .txt files contain an exact copy of the message , any ideas of what could be causing this ? Urgent reply required
Plain text message received have the attachment format of <messagesubject>.txt
HTML messages received have the attachment format att.txt
Plain text message received have the attachment format of <messagesubject>.txt
HTML messages received have the attachment format att.txt

Not quite sure i follow stefri, but if you are asking should the recipient of such a message ask the sender to change their character set (encoding) away from User Defined. Then the answer is yes.

If the sender is using a user defined charset, it will never been parsed correctly. Am I wrong?
