Error sending email from MS Outlook

Hi,

I have Office2003, if fact I have two copies, one that I had purchased for home use, and one later supplied to me from my company, as I also do work from home (both are resistered).

In Outlook, one of my machines works like a champ, on the other, all looks well, and I have done the "Test Account Settings" button from inside the email setup, and all are confirmed as working, just like the other version.  But, when I try to send from the second version, I get the following message sent back to me:

From: System Administrator
Sent: Monday, January 12, 2004 6:05 PM
Subject: Undeliverable:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:
      Sent:      1/12/2004 6:05 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      Buddy (buddy@abcdef.com) on 1/12/2004 6:05 PM
            550 relay not permitted
-------------------------------------------

Mind you that I have to Bcc myself on most emails, but it works on the other machine, and I have double checked all the settings.  btw-changed the acutual email address for personal reasons.

Any thoughts, as this is an urgent matter!!!

Hi shivsa, I use four email accounts, one is from my own domain, one personal, one for my company, and the last is an IMAP account.  It authenticates the IMAP when I open Outlook, it is the only one that requires SSL, and Port address's for POP and Outgoing, with SPA unchecked.  All this works fine on the Primary PC.

Reading the MS Article could be the problem, which I will check very soon, as I am using a four port Wired/Wirless Router, and may need to re-set the MAC adderss.  Odd though, as the Internet, and NetMeeting works on both machines.

I'll be back shortly with the results.

Thanks,
Bud

I have reset the MAC address, and as the article mentions, there could be authentication problems using a Router, so when I unchecked SMTP requires authentication on the three non IMAP accounts, they all started working properly.

Thanks for your help, and swift response.
