Thanks Gavin, I read this link too, BUT :

>>The following are three examples of a hard delete:
>>A Microsoft Outlook user presses SHIFT+DELETE to remove a message.
...
>>Therefore, items that are removed by using a hard delete cannot be recovered.

My bad habit is HARD DELETE :-(

Try this
Open a New Outlook Express without Email accounts.
Import the data from Outlook,
Once done,
Open MS Word > File > Open >Recover Text From Any File (*.*), and open the Outlook Express Deleted Items.dbx

you might find your message there.

From Practice, PST Files will keep everything in them even after you empty the Delete Items folder, as the PST file Size does not change, until you compact. So I assum the infor is still there.

OK, I can't argue with your reply, but the start of that line is 'by default'. It then goes on to with the instructions for how to enable deleted file recovery (the reg key).

I use this in work for people who have shift-deleted items and I have never had any problems getting them back.

Gavin
Gavin, I tried to delete some emails again and went to the deletd file recovery menu, and I see the window contian no email to recover

I read somewhere that's outlook compact the pst automatically when it's become big, my pst around 330 mb, so I'm afraid that I can't return it :-((

mnasman your are one of the top most respected Delphi coders I konw of on this site. If this enail was rertuevable I think of all the people I know of you would know there is no micarle here. You have lost this email pemrmantely unfortunatly. I am afraid even with all your talant that talent programically speakining is one of the best i have seen one this site I think it is time to come to conlusions that my first coammemt acccunated by slink9 that this email is heartbeakely lost. Sorry my highily repectable and refered Delhpi programmes I think it is time to face the probalbe reality, this email has founded itself in the cyper space gravyard and it will take more than a miracle to bring it back. :(
Crazy's fingers must not work too well today.  Neither did mine.  I just took a typing test and only did forty wpm when I needed 45 to be considered for the job.  It is quite odd that a computer support position would require a typing test.  Oh well, blow that one off ...
I couldn't retrieve the emails anymore
Crazyone, you gave me the first right answer " I am afraid that this email is gone and not to be seen again ", I lost much time trying without any successful

>>this email has founded itself in the cyper space gravyard
LOL, that's nice one ;-)

but thanks guys for all your help

Mohammed
Though the message may be deleted from your PST file, I have used Easy Recovery Professional from Ontrack to fully recover a previous copy of the full PST file itself, which contained the messages I was looking for.  Depending on how often you reboot, and how much hard drive space you have etc.. you may indeed have an older copy of your PST file that the file system is not aware of ,but has not been over-written by newer data writes.  Long Story short, obtain a copy of a deleted-file recovery utility, DO NOT install it on the same drive that you lost the data on, so even if you have to add a temporary 2nd hard drive to your machine do so, then install the file recovery software to that drive, the new one, and search your local drive for deleted items.  You don't want to install the new software to your original drive for fear of over-writing the very files you are trying to locate and recover.  I had a 1GB pst file on my machine, and Easy Recovery found a copy from the previous day as I had sufficient disk space to allow the system to retain it, and I recovered my messages from the earlier version.  Hope this helps...
