I get 300 emails per day and need a way to "ONE CLICK" reply to rapidly to common questions

hi experts.

i'm currently using Outlook Express 6 and i answer 200-300 emails per day, answering customer's questions in my small business.  80% of my emails require one of 9 responses.

i need a way to "one click reply" to answer the customer's questions.  i don't believe OE6 or OE are capapble of this.

my temporary solution has been ot create nine separate text files and open all their little windows next to the OE inbox. i highlight all the text in each box and copy and paste and copy and paste and copy and paste and copy and............

also, i'm considering going to IMAP because i have an employee that soon be answering emails too.

i'm using Mozilla Thunderbird occasionally for IMAP.  just a FYI.  maybe someone knows of a plug-in for thunderbird and/or outlook express?

help...i'm dyin' over here!

Hi keyfobs,

Sorry, I don't use or know much about Outlook Express so I can't help with it.  If you ever decide to switch to the full version of Outlook, then I could solve this for you.

Cheers!

Hi, Mark.

Ok, I can approach this in two ways.  One, I can create a single macro for you to run that will pop up a dialog-box where you'll enter a number corresponding to the response you want to use and it'll insert it.  Two, I can create nine different macros, and you'll need to run the correct one to insert a response.  Which would you prefer?

hello and thanks BlueDevilFan.

whatever results in the fewest time/mouse clicks to execute.  using my current "cut and paste" method, it takes six clicks.  this may sound lame, complaining about # of clicks, but when dealing with the volume of email i have, it will make a huge difference in time savings and mental well being....i feel like a robot.

thanks much!

Another couple of quick and easy solutions if you decide to continue using Outlook Express:

1.  Use a cliptray utility which lets you keep multiple text files that can easily be pasted directly from your clipboard
2.  Use a hotkey to insert text into the messages which is pretty much the same as #1, just different methodology
