You can either use MacLink Pro, which is a professional software and costs a few bucks, but is extremely versatile and easy to use. Certainly worth the money if you have more documents that you need to convert!

.. or just use ClarisWorks / AppleWorks in a fairly recent version. Because it comes with a 'light' version of MacLink Plus, it can directly save it's documents as Word Docs. If you have lots of CW documents, you probably have ClarisWorks somewhere already.

Hope this helps

saschaleib: read the guidelines for posting comments and answers. Youve repeated information previously posted, locked up a question, and posting answers ticks off other experts.
saschaleib,

Welcome to Experts Exchange!

I've rejected your proposed answer for the following reasons.

First, Experts Exchange is a collaborative website; in almost all cases, it takes a number of suggestions by a number of Experts to help resolve an issue. By posting your suggestion as an Answer, rather than as a Comment, the question gets moved to the Locked Questions queue from the Open Questions queue. That makes it much less likely that the Asker will get more responses to evaluate.

Second, over time the convention here is that you post your suggestion as a Comment unless you are absolutely certain that your response is the only completely accurate solution to a problem AND that your response is in no way a duplicate, paraphrase or expansion of a previous response.

The Asker sees a button beside every post which says "Accept This Comment As Answer" (including rejected answers) -- so if he/she thinks yours is the best, you'll be awarded the points and the grade.

Again, welcome aboard!

Hello all,

I guess I have to apologise. This was actually my first response to somebody else's question here at EE and I wasn't fully aware of the differences between "Comment" and "Answer".

Best greetings

/sascha

PS: I still hope my comment helped a bit :-)
sascha,

Don't let it bother you; it happens every day. Keeps the Moderators out of mischief... <grin>

Thanks for the response, Weed... sorry it took me so long to get back to you.

Just a note re DataViz's MacLink Plus: it DOES NOT CONVERT Appleworks 6 drawing files, which is what I needed converted. Program says "get back in to Appleworks and save this as JPEG" -- no help at all for me who misfiled the appleworks disc and have the data restored but no way to use this file!
