Nothing is going to maintain all the formatting, graphics placement, text etc. PDF is a final output format. It's not meant to be translated to anything else, especially word. You can certainly go to a raster format like TIFF, but that doesnt maintain text that can be edited.<br />

You can open PDFs in Illustrator and edit the text, but that's not Word, and the text doesnt re-flow.

The full version of Acrobat has the ability to convert a PDF to a Word doc. Retaining the format depends on the complexity of the formatting. The more complex it was, the less likely it is to retain it.
