Faronics AE manager

how do i unprotect the folder though cuz my brother installed it and not me he just did it to piss me off

Can you log on to the Faronics console? Probably not if your brother installed it. You likely cannot remove this if you do not have the installation rights and files. I tried to remove Faronics Deep Freeze last year and without installation CD, I had to reformat the drive. This software is intended to protect the system and is used in schools and similar situations and is intended to block computer savvy students from adding components or deleting the Faronics Software.

I would suggest getting your brother to remove it.

well could i download the AE manager at my friends house put it on a disc and then go from there ?

well cuz i try to open the faronics folder and it says acess denied so i would have to get past that to get to the console i think

That might not work as the existing installation is password protected by the original installer.

I don't think you can get passed that as it is very cleverly protected.
I have even tried booting from a CD and removing components and the Deep freeze version repairs itself. It is written to be hack proof, though I am sure there are holes in it.

:-/ well i dont have time to learn anything cuz summers ending and schools starting but next year im teaching myself to hack games/Learn ASM so that should be fun so if i never need anything i can download and put some stuff on a disc but wtih deep freeze id have to install it every single day :(

if i downloaded a game at my neighbors and then put it on a disc would AE catch it or is AE just for download exe's im to lazy to read the faq if its there so ill leave that up to u ;) thats why there are points

No you still wouldn't be able to install it. The program blocks any exe file that tries to install regardless of the source.

One posibility for removal I just found:

that would only be for deep freeze not for AE manager right?

That is what it says but see if the option exists in AE. I am doubtful but likely your only possibility.

well i cant even get to stupid deep freezes console or whatever i looked in the folder and theres nothing there but one thing that i double click and nothing happens wheres this stupid login box

When you start your computer there should be a logon box. In that there should be a reference to Deep Freeze and at the top a 'token code'. You need this to enter in the Deep Freeze configuration administrator.

Do you have Deep Freeze or AE ?
I don't think this is going to work, but feel free to 'play' with it.

well my bro just got on the computer this morning and yeah he did sumtin and got the logon box you probally have to press like ctrl+alt+a or something like that to bring it up

i found the AE console but there is no token for a OTP i also found the deep freeze console and the token is still there but i just need the token for AE

I couldn't find a method for removing AE. I think your are out of luck.

well i read a thing that said you could get an OTP for AE as well as deep freeze


There are no backdoor passwords to Anti-Executable. Using our unique One Time Password system, Anti-Executable Enterprise Administrators can generate One Time Passwords.

To generate an OTP, start by opening the Anti-Executable login box on the workstation you wish to generate it for, and write down the Token code, which is located at the top of the login box. Bring that code to the Anti-Executable Administrator and click on the One-Time Passwords tab, then enter the code you recorded into the Token field and click Generate OTP. Another code will then be placed in the OTP field. That second code is the password for the workstation. That One-Time Password can then be used to disable and uninstall/re-install Anti-Executable with the correct password configured.

well thats the thing it is licesnced but he probally used a keygen or a crack :-/

You need his key !!!   and if it is a 'cracked' version it may very well not function as it should.
