When I used a software such as powerdesinger 11 or dreamweaver , the computer sent a message"could not load a transcoding service Xerces Panic Error".
I found many people meet the question ,but nobody can soluate it.
Can you help me?

The current workaround is to rename xerces-c_1_3.dll, which is installed by default with Backup Exec in the Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT folder and restart the Backup Exec services. After the file has been renamed, another prompt will appear warning that the file cannot be found in numerous directories. This warning can be ignored and Backup Exec will function normally.

Thank for you suggestion. But I can't find xerces-c_1_3.dll in the Program Files\Veritas\backup exec\nt folder or others folder.
I had the problem and it was a registry problem. You can correct it by using a registry repair product. I downloaded the product from www.stampsoft.com. It comes with a free 15 day trial. After I ran it it cleared up the problem. Hope this helps.

now that i have posted the previous comment i am now getting the same xerces error with Dreamweaver. I already have Registry Repiar 2005 on my machine and it DOES NOT repair the problem. I have reinstalled Dreamweaver a number of times, but it still gives the same error everytime Dreamweaver is started. I have tried to get an updated file from Apaches site since the error is an XML parser error but still no luck.
