Thanks for the translations - they were instrumental in repairing the problems.
the 3012 error was solved by re-installing the local engine
the 3103 error was solved by checking at the network level that all firewalls were disabled on clients (windows XP enables one by default and it was keeping certain computers from accessing network resources!)

3103 means Server name not found by Pervasive Network Services Layer.
THis can be a network issue. For example, can you ping the server by name? If not, that's the first problem.
3012 means Local engine is not accessible to the MicroKernel router.
This is usually an application issue. If the application specifies a local file but there's no local engine, this error is returned. It could also occur if the network communication isn't working correctly. The requesters will try a remote server first then the local engine if it can't connect to the server.
Does the Pervasive System Analyzer connect and run correctly? Does the 3103 always happen? If not, what's different about the machine when it works (connected to a different network or using a different NIC, etc)?
