Hi, thank you so much. Its very difficult sometime to find information from the Pervasive KB.
When mentioning the typical TS user, does this also apply to administrators? I find that if I remote connect as a administrator into a temrinal server session and then connect to the console via 'Remote Desktops' in 'Administrative tools' it somehow avoids the problem. Although, after sometime (not sure why) this even fails to work and a restart of the server is required to correct the issue.
Would this all be fixed by changing this registry key? Would I experience the same problem under any other circumstances?
Thank you again...

Terminal Services is the root of the problem, as Pervasive opted to secure the system and NOT allow the typical TS user to have full control over the server engine.
e\Pervasiv e Software\Utilities Interface\Settings\Restric ted Access On WTS client
If you do not mind allowing ANYONE with a TS connection to monitor and configure the server, then you can change the following registry key:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Softwar
Changing the value from 1 (restricted access) to 0 (unrestricted access) will allow all TS users to run the Monitor from a TS session.
