The older PeachTree 2005 was still using Btrieve 6.15, if my notes are correct. For some basic information on PeachTree's use of the Btrieve/Pervasive database, start here: http://www.goldstarsoftwar
There's also papers on verifying your database version and on accessing Btrieve data from ODBC here: http://www.goldstarsoftwar

Well, Peachtree uses the Pervasive engine. If you have DDFs, and if you have the Pervasive ODBC drivers then you may be able to access the data. .
The Pervasive ODBC driver are usually installed as part of the Pervasive engine but I believe Peachtree uses a heavily customized version of the Pervasive engine. It's even possible it's a much older version of Pervasive. I don't have Peachtree so I can't check.
Here's something you can try:
1. Copy the data files and DDFs from the Peachtree data directory to another PC that's not running Peachtree.
2. Download and install the trial version of Pervasive from Pervasive's web site (http://www.pervasive.com)
3. Try to create an ODBC DSN to the DDFs and data files.
4. If the DSN is created, try accessing it through Access or other ODBC tool.
Peachtree may have security enabled on the DDFs/data files in which case you'd also need to know a user/password to access the data.
