Version 8, I don't believe it's an sql implementation, without being able to log into the database how would I be able to confirm that. It was already moved, that's the point, if I had known, I wouldn't have moved it

I attempted to use a password tool to break into the database but it says that there is no password. I moved it back to it's original location, but that didn't work either.
Does any one have any ideas on getting back into this database?
Thanks

I'm not the primary user, I support the user, but had never worked with ACT before.
A. the user states there was never a password
B. upon using a password cracking tool, it states that there is no password
C. according to ACT (the user called and spoke with them) ACT databases are designed such that if you move the database, it locks up and you can't access it via normal means (the original password, which in this case was blank)
I'd like to identify how to circumvent this behavior

What version database?
How did you attempt to move the data?
With the SQL versions of ACT! (ACT! 7 and later), you should not just try to move the database as the SQL engine can access the file even if ACT! is not open
