Best Practice for Installing ACT 2009 in a SQL 2005 Standard Environment

Dear Experts,
I just purchased ACT 2009 Premium and I want to install with a single database that will be available to ten users.
We have three already existing SQL Servers (2 x SQL 2005 Standard with CAL 25 CAL Users Each and 1x SQL 2000 (Release Version) with 25 CAL Users).
It seems that we should be able to install the ACT 2009 Database on one of the 2005 Standard Servers and have the ten users connect that database.

When I begin to install the product it wants to install 2005 Express onto the server.
I don't feel comfortable installing EX on a server already running 2005 / 2000 SQL Standard Edition.

I understand that installing ACT 2009 on an XP workstation and creating a local database that will be accessible by only that XP workstation, well, that makes sense why SQL 2005 Express would need to be installed.  But what about a workgroup environment.
There really doesn't seem to be much documentation about how to setup a situation like this?

Based upon this thread it seems that I need to find a copy of the ACT 2009 Premium ST version rather than the version I have which is EX?
Or is that the case for creating the instance in SQL?
It is confusing, these instructions for installing and creating an instance of ACT7 on the SQL Server.

Do you have any other advice along these lines?

It looks like I just need to create an instance of ACT on the SQL Server.
Then install a version of ACT on the SQL server itself (without reinstalling SQL).
Once the database is created on the SQL server itself, I can deploy the EX version on users on the network and point them to the SQL ACT Database.

Does this sound correct?

The instructions from your previous link include versions 2007 and 2008, but there is not mention of 2009?

The ST version has it's own copy of SQL Standard... you don't need it to use your own copy, just create the instance

This forced my hand into technical support with Sage.  Too much riding on my other SQL servers to just perform the action without guidance.
The problem is solved, and I thank you for your prompt answer.
