My Server is also a domain controller, so I don't have any local accounts, only have one administrator account (the built-in one) other then a backup Admin account of course.
I did log into just ACT after your suggestion as a different user that has administrative privileges in ACT and on the network, and it appears to be working. Will follow-up and let you know for sure. How would I go about troubleshooting why the built-in domain administrator doesn't have priviledges to do so?

If the Scheduler is successfully backing up the database, this implies a permissions based issue when you log into the system.

Try logging into the server as a local admin (not a domain admin) and then running the application backup. If this is successfull then it proves there is a permissions problem If this also gives the same error, look in the SQL Error logs in ActDiag to see if there is anything listed in there (http://kb.sagesoftwareonl
