I have a client that uses Quickbooks Pro for their accounting, and they want to use ACT for the CRM functionality, as well as Collections. I understand that you could use Quickbooks, but they want to do this portion of their account via ACT, I guess for the interface.
The client went ahead and installed Quickbooks and ACT, (I'll have to reinstall because ACT crashed or errored a few times in the span of our 30 minute meeting) They are still just using sample data and the ACT QB sync works.
In ACT you can see the QB contacts, and when viewing a QB contact, you can see invoices and status.
I'm an infrastructure guy, but I'm having to become an application expert, so I need some hand holding here.
My basic question is, what functionality exists regarding data imported from QB into ACT. It looked like it mapped the contact data to appropriate fields, but it just gives a simple view for the financial detail.
For example, client would like to search in ACT by QB Invoice/Ref number. Is it possible?
The other big question is, how robust is the reporting in ACT. Can we generate a report in ACT that displays Invoices by status grouped by customer? If this kind of reporting isn't available natively, can we do this with Crystal? if so, what is the proper version of crystal?
All help is appreciated. Thanks.
